I run the touch league in Sault Ste. Marie, and we have been members on and off with TFONT over our 38 year league history, and I was wondering how would it work if one of our teams wanted to come down to one of the Trillium Cup tournaments to qualify / get seeded.
Our rules are slightly different as we don't have paid officials on the field, so our handling of penalties is slightly different, but for the most part we follow the TFONT rulebook. Being somewhat isolated up in "the Soo", we are looking to enjoy some variety and see some new teams to play against. We have a few fundraisers planned for the winter to be able to help fund a team going down, and I would just like to hear from someone on how that would work with a Sault team never having participated before?
1. Are we welcome to play?
2. How would we be seeded having never played before in your system?
We would look forward to heading down to Southern Ontario for one of the tournaments, but just want to learn what the process would be.
Any info would be very much appreciated!!
